I was born in Mexico, a land of strong colours, loud music and a natural spirit. After finishing high school, I had the opportunity to continue my studies in Texas, USA, where I began my education and involvement in the world of Computer Science.

 

After Texas, I came to make Canada my home, a land of peace and tolerance. Although my educational background is in Computer Science, I found that Ottawa was able to offer me the opportunity to develop and focus on my studies in a very similar field, Information Technology Networking, at Carleton University. It was here where I began to explore the world of IT and Networking Security.

 

Canada's capital is considered to hold the majority of the Canadian federal government and the hi-tech industry. Due to the major companies that have offices in Ottawa, this city has become known as "Silicon Valley North". Therefore, it  has been an advantage to my development as an IT Professional.

 

Currently, I am working for a recognized Canadian NGO called CANADEM, while ocassionally providing  IT Consultion to various types of businesses in Ottawa.

 

My role at CANADEM is to ensure that the IT Solutions that the organization relies on, continues to profficiently functions each day, to provide the correct communication channels within the organization and between the outside world. As well, I had the chance to deploy several intersting IT solutions at CANADEM, while continuously implementing improvements. I am very lucky to have the chance to work for CANADEM and also, but not all the time, to work with my boss Artem L.

 

He is almost the best boss I have ever had, however, he could be the best one, if he would bring me Doritos more often.
